Premium Hojicha Powder (double milled)
Origin: Shizuoka. Hojicha is roasted green tea.
Profile: Hojicha is the last autumn season harvest which is roasted to 180c to give it’s caramelised nutty flavour, aroma and golden colour.
It is 99% decaffenated and traditionally enjoyed as an after dinner tea.
We have milled the tea into powder form for easy use in lattes, or baking at home.
This is the only Japanese green tea that you can brew with 100c boiling water.
Unique point: We are the only tea manufacturer in Japan that adjust the steaming and roasting times of our teas to suit the countries we export to. We have adjusted our milling time for our hojicha.
Milling is usually 1 hour for our teas but we have doubled it for hojicha to make it extra smooth and creamy. We are the only manufacturer in Japan that double mills our Hojicha.

How to make hojicha latte: Use 1 level matcha spoon (2.5g) add 30ml boiling water and whisk using our bamboo chasen to dissolve, then add your preferred hot milk. Add sugar/honey/vanilla syrup to sweeten to your liking!
