Each generation has its own wave, but whether you’re from the 80s or 90s, you’ll be swept away by one: the Hong Kong wave! Hong Kong style fashion, Hong Kong style charm, Hong Kong music, and Hong Kong films – each one is a memory of an era.

Join this special event co-hosted by 852 Hong Kong Restaurant and Foodnote, inviting people who may be fan or about to explore of the 80s or 90s Hong Kong, or simply want to come and meet new friends. Let’s meet on 16th Sep, 6-8PM at Newtown!

In the golden era of Hong Kong cinema, filled with stars like Chow Yun-Fat, Jackie Chan, and Jet Li, Hong Kong films shaped a new wave that swept across Asia. Movies like “King of Comedy,” “Infernal Affairs,” “A Chinese Odyssey,” and “Chungking Express” will take you back to the glamorous Hong Kong years ❤️

🎤 Karaoke Forever
Hong Kong’s classic songs are passed down from generation to generation. Especially in the 80s and 90s, Hong Kong’s music scene was a golden era, filled with superstars like Alan Tam, Leslie Cheung, Anita Mui, and Jacky Cheung, who produced timeless hits. 

Songs like “Monica,” “Bright Moon,” “Smiling, Proud Wanderer,” “Midnight Serenade,” and more. Sing your heart out at our karaoke corner and relive those unforgettable melodies. There will even be special prizes for participants!

💃 Retro Dance Party
Disco lights, dazzling sparkles, and non-stop excitement! Who will be crowned tonight’s singing and dancing king or queen? 🎭 The winner will receive a special prize!

* 852 Hong Kong Restaurant will choose 3 winners, one for each game, during the event.

* The 3 winners (one from each game) will receive a $20 voucher (e-ticket generated by the Foodnote platform) for future use at 852 Hong Kong Restaurant, applicable not only to special events but also to all offerings during regular trading hours.
